PM-JAY approaches Delhi yet again

Indu Bhushan met with Delhi Lt. Governor Anil Baijal “to discuss the possible implementation of Ayushman Bharat in Delhi.”

Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) CEO Indu Bhushan has approached the Delhi government again, asking it look at the benefits of opting for the government scheme.

Dr. Bhushan met with Delhi Lt. Governor Anil Baijal “to discuss the possible implementation of Ayushman Bharat in Delhi.”

Dr. Bhushan said that the two discussed how Delhiites could significantly benefit from the scheme. Meanwhile, as per information released by PM-JAY, the insurance scheme has now crossed a “new milestone of 10 crore e-cards”.

Speaking about the spread and reach of the scheme, Vikram A. Munshi, founder of WhiteSpace, which works in the health sector, said: “PM-JAY is a mammoth initiative which is aimed at ensuring help to several lakh people who slip below the poverty line every year on account of health-care expenses.”

“While it is spreading its wings, there is still a large ground to cover in a populous country like ours. Ayushman Bharat, like any mammoth initiative of this scale, comes with its set of challenges that need to be addressed in its journey ahead to meet the end goal,” he added.
