Parents not informed

Relatives told them he had an accident

Hanuman Prasad and Malti Devi, the parents of 22-year-old Angad Kumar who died on Tuesday, have not been informed about his death, said the family

“They live in Surat... We told them he met with an accident. The journey would have been very difficult for them otherwise,” said his cousin Ramesh on Wednesday, adding that the parents are expected to reach Delhi by evening.

Remembering his last conversation with his elder brother, Rohit (20) said: “Angad, our younger brother Chandan and I lived together. On Tuesday morning, he told me to come home early. He wanted to talk about something. I never got a chance to talk to him. I don’t know how our parents will react.”

Accused’s house locked

Even Angad’s pet dog Scotch seems to be mourning. “He hasn’t eaten anything since Tuesday evening,” said Mr. Ramesh.

Meanwhile, the house of one of the accused who lives in the same colony was found locked.

“He was a quiet child and never ill-treated anyone. He was never crass either. That he could kill someone came as a surprise,” said the accused’s neighbour.
