Delhiites woke up to an overcast sky and light rainfall in some areas on Sunday that brought the temperature from a maximum of 43.4 degrees Celsius recorded on Saturday to 36.3 degrees Celsius.
The humidity, however, was high as it ranged between 28% and 75%. The minimum settled at 28.3 degrees Celsius.
The city received 0.6 mm of rainfall between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. with only traces of rainfall overnight. Najafgarh received the maximum rainfall at 2.0 mm.
The forecast for Monday by the Met Department reads: “Generally cloudy sky with the possibility of dust storm, thunderstorm, accompanied by light rain and gusty winds [40-50 kmph] and lightning.”
The temperature is likely to settle between 37 and 28 degrees respectively.
