Hitting out at rivals for giving all credit for ‘successes’ during his tenure to his ‘luck’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday asked Delhi voters to install a Bharatiya Janata Party government in Delhi instead of choosing someone who is ‘unlucky’.

At a rally in Dwarka , he spoke about the performance of his eight-month-old government and said the prices of commodities have come down.

“The rivals say the prices have come down just because Modi is lucky. Let’s accept that I am lucky, but you have saved money. If Modi’s luck is benefitting the people, what can be more fortunate? If because of my good luck, prices of petrol and diesel get reduced and common man saves more, then what is the need for bringing someone who is unlucky?” he said.

“It is not Modi's luck, but if somebody has the blessings of 125 crore people, there cannot be any better luck,” he said.

Lashing out at the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress, Mr. Modi said they ‘forge friendship behind the curtains’ to form a government, but in public they show they are pitched against each other.

Addressing his second rally here , the Prime Minister underlined that the city needs to have a stable government with full majority as ‘the city has already lost one year, which has pushed it 25 years back’.

About the party’s chief ministerial candidate, Kiran Bedi, Mr. Modi said she will take care of all problems, including traffic issues on which ‘she has mastery ’.

He also said that if a BJP government was formed in Delhi, it would have the ‘fear of Modi’.

“Delhi needs a government we can trust. If you vote for a BJP government, then those who will be here will be afraid of Modi and the Central government. But if there is someone who does not have anyone above him, who will put a check ,” Mr. Modi said.

He thanked the people of Delhi for giving the BJP seven seats in the Lok Sabha polls, and said that it was time for him to give back, and requested voters to give him a chance to serve them.

The Prime Minister tried to woo the Purvanchali voters by recalling that he represents Banaras in the Lok Sabha .

Claiming that he makes promises he can keep, the Prime Minister reminded the people of Dwarka about the way in which his government has taken decisions to solve the water problem there soon after a BJP government was formed in Haryana.
