A 14-year-old boy was stabbed to death on Friday allegedly by three minors following a fight over the prime accused’s girlfriend, the police said on Saturday. The incident was reported from central Delhi’s Anand Parbat, they said.

A senior officer privy to the case said that the victim has been identified as Kudrat Tulla, resident of Gayatri Colony, who used to do a part-time job. The three accused have been apprehended and sent to observation home, the police also said.

The police said that the victim was sitting around a bonfire with two of his friends, identified as Amir Khan and Dinesh, around 7 p.m. on Friday, when the three accused arrived and started abusing him. “The three then took him to the next street on the pretext of having a word with him. Two of them held him, while the prime accused stabbed him. As the victim cried for help, his friends rushed to the spot. Meanwhile, the accused fled,” the officer said.

The friends then informed Kudrat’s family members, who rushed him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

The police said that the victim was friends with the prime accused’s girlfriend, which did not go down well with her boyfriend. The accused allegedly had threatened the victim and asked him to stay away from her.
