A minor girl was allegedly abducted, made to commit theft and then raped by a young man at Ambedkar Nagar here over the weekend.
The victim, in her statement to the Lajpat Nagar Child Welfare Committee, disclosed that one Sundar abducted her and took her to a house in Khanpur where he allegedly made her consume some sedatives. She woke up the next day, following which Sundar and his accomplices made her board a bus and steal the purse and mobile phone of a passenger.
The girl alleged that the same night, Sunder rapad her. The next day she managed to escape and met a woman on the way who helped her contact her parents. The victim's father had already got an abduction case registered at the Ambedkar Nagar police station. The victim's medical examination confirmed that she was sexually assaulted.
In her statement to the CWC, the victim mentioned that she had seen two other girls residing at the house where she was kept in Khanpur. Restoring the victim to her mother, the CWC on Tuesday directed the case investigating officer to submit a report on the status of the two girls.
