Man stabbed to death

A 24-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by three to four men in north-west Delhi’s Netaji Subhash Place on Tuesday. The police suspect personal enmity behind the murder and have identified a few suspects but no arrests have been been.

The police said the deceased has been identified as Shanu, a resident of MCD Colony in Azadpur.

“We received a PCR call at NSP police station informing about the murder. A team reached the spot and found Shanu lying on the road with more than 10 stab wounds,” said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (North-West) A.K. Lal.

Shanu succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital. “During investigation, it came to light that the deceased and three to four accused had a fight during which one of them whipped out a knife and stabbed him 9-10 times ,” said Mr. Lal.

The officer said the deceased has a criminal case registered against him and motive behind the murder seems to be previous enmity. “Some suspects have been identified and a hunt is on to nab them,” the officer said.
