Man stabbed to death by colleague after tiff

A 48-year-old man was stabbed to death allegedly by a colleague over defect in footwear manufacturing at a factory in west Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh. The accused has been arrested, the police said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sameer Sharma said that the victim, Dwarka Prasad, a resident of Nangloi, was stabbed by Ramesh Chand (41) during a quarrel.

Police said that a PCR call was received at 11 a.m. from a footwear factory in Madipur regarding a stabbing incident. When the police reached the spot, they were informed that Dwarka Prasad was stabbed by Ramesh Chand over an issue of some defect in making a footwear.

The victim was rushed to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Police said that a murder case has been registered and the accused has been arrested.
