The New Delhi railway station authorities recently nabbed a person posing as a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE).

“He unauthorisedly checked the ticket of a passenger and took Rs.500 from him. On suspicion, the Railway Protection Force and ticket checking staff on duty asked him for his ID card. Though he tried to escape, he was overpowered,” a Northern Railway spokesperson said.

The accused is a resident of Gorakhpur.
