A 37-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly killing an elderly woman here, officials said.
Savitri Devi (73) was found dead with her throat and wrist slit on Wednesday morning, officials said. The body was found by her neighbours in Devi’s home, officials added.
An FIR has been filed based on the deceased’s son Tejpal’s complaint. “Devi’s body was lying in a pool of blood on her bed. Her hands and legs were tied. Her mobile phone was recovered near the body,” SP (Rural) Neeraj Kumar Jadaun said.
