Man found stabbed to death in park

A 30-year-old man was found stabbed to death in the small hours of Friday in Dwarka. The body was found in a park adjacent to Radisson Blu hotel.

DCP (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said Raja Ram, who lived in Bharat Vihar’s JJ colony is survived by his wife and two children. He worked at a garment shop in Dabri.

Marks on head, throat

“The PCR received a call at 7 a.m. regarding a body lying near the metro line close to the hotel. Raja had marks on the throat and head. He had also been stabbed,” Mr. Alphonse said. The body has been preserved at a mortuary for post-mortem. A case of murder has been registered under IPC Section 302 (punishment for murder).

A senior officer said it appears that Raja was having an extramarital affair. However, the police are probing other angles as well. . “It does not appear to be a case of robbery since there was cash in his wallet. It seems like a case of personal enmity,” the officer said.
