Demands action against filmmakers

A man on Tuesday registered a complaint against actor Sunny Leone and makers of movie Arjun Patiala for mentioning his mobile number in the film.

Puneet Agarwal from Pitampura registered the complaint at Maurya Enclave police station stating that he had been getting numerous unwanted calls and was being harassed.

Mr. Agarwal claimed that on July 26, after the release of the movie, he started getting calls and messages on WhatsApp asking about Ms. Leone.

Prank call

Initially, he thought it might be a prank but then he got over 100 calls.

He enquired from a caller about where he got the number and he was told that it was mentioned in the movie when Ms. Leone gives her phone number to actor Diljit Dosanjh.

‘Caused harassment’

“I demand action against the makers of the movie for using my number without permission. It has caused me harassment as many of the callers are using offensive languages. I am getting calls from ISD numbers,” said Mr. Agarwal.

Random callers are asking me to do “shameful favours”, he said.

No action has been taken as of now.

A senior officer said they have gone through the complaint but it seems to be a civil matter.

The complainant can pursue the matter in a court, they said.
