A 24-year-old man allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Dwarka sector 16 on Friday evening, the police said on Saturday.

A suicide note has been recovered from his possession, they said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said that the deceased has been identified as Dharam Singh.

Worked as mechanic

He worked as a mechanic in Hari Nagar, the officer said.

The man allegedly hanged himself due to strained relationship with his wife and other domestic issues, as written in the note, Mr. Alphonse said.

The police received a Police Control Room (PCR) call at 4.45 p.m. after which they reached the spot and found him hanging with a dupatta.

He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.

Post-mortem awaited

“The post-mortem report is awaited for further action,” Mr. Alphonse said, adding that statements of his family members have been recorded.
