A robber was killed and his accomplice injured when one of the two men they allegedly looted at gunpoint, chased and hit their bike with his car in North-West Delhi’s Ashok Vihar.

Shahzad (34) was killed during the chase, while his accomplice, 24-year-old Arshad has been admitted to a hospital in a critical condition, the police said on Saturday.

According to the police, a businessman and his brother were robbed of their gold ornaments at gunpoint outside their office last night by four bike-borne miscreants.

The robbers then fled from the spot on two bikes. One of the brothers then followed the miscreants in his car.

During the chase, the car hit the bike that Shahzad and Arshad were riding, the police said, adding that gold ornaments were recovered from them.

According to a police officer, the remaining two robbers are still absconding.— PTI
