Maintenance work to hit Metro services

May 08, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:36 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Metro commuters travelling on Line-1 (Dilshad Garden to Rithala) might face some inconvenience this weekend as trains would be operating at 18 minutes frequency in the morning hours.

The less frequency would be due to maintenance and repair work that would result in single line operation of metro train services between Tis Hazari and Inderlok section of Line - 1 on Saturday and Sunday,

The single line operation would be from 6 a.m. to 7.30 a.m. on Saturday while on Sunday it will be from 10 a.m. to 12.30 a.m.

“The frequency would approximately be 18 minutes during this period at three stations falling on this section i.e, Pulbangash, Pratap Nagar and Shastri Nagar. This is necessitated due to track maintenance work between Pulbangash and Pratap Nagar stations. However, normal train services will remain available between Inderlok to Rithala Tis Hazari to Dilshad Garden section of Line-1 during the above mentioned timings,” a Metro spokesperson said.
