Lok adalats on power theft cases

BSES and the Delhi State Legal Service Authority will hold lok adalats for on the spot resolution of power theft cases this weekend, the discom said in a statement on Wednesday.

A two-day lok adalat will be organised by the BRPL (south and west Delhi) on Saturday and December 9 at the Saket and Dwarka district courts complexes. The BYPL (east and central Delhi) will hold a one-day lok adalat on Saturday at the Lok Adalat Building, ITO, and the District Court Karkardooma. Notices have been sent to about 20,000 consumers to apply for new connections or reconnections after clearing dues at these lok adalats. A majority of cases are from Najafgarh and Darya Ganj divisions, the statement read. The lok adalats organised last year saw over 8,500 cases and dues to the tune of ₹80 crore getting settled.
