Delhi University has released the names of applicants who have cleared the preliminary round of ECA trials organised between June 20 and 26. The selected candidates will now have to appear for the final trials scheduled between June 30 and July 5. The schedule for 11 categories and details about what is expected from the applicants has been put up on the DU website. The schedule for debate category is still awaited.

Candidates will be required to bring all relevant certificates pertaining to the activity. They will have to show the original documents and submit a photocopy of each, besides bringing a photocopy of the DU registration receipt.

75% weightage to trials

This year, 20,207 students had applied for admission under the ECA quota.

To ensure that admission is primarily based on the applicant’s performance, DU has assigned 75% weightage to trials and 25% to certificates. The names of students selected after the final trial will be forwarded to the colleges they have applied to. Based on their Class XII marks and trials, the list of selected students will be put up by individual colleges.
