Pleasant weather continued in the city on Tuesday with the mercury settling four notches below normal at 35 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature was seven degrees below normal at 20.6 degrees Celsius.

The city received 10.6 mm of rainfall between 8.30 a.m. on Monday and 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday. However, it received only traces of rain during the day on Tuesday. Humidity was high and ranged between 43% and 95%.

The forecast by the MeT department for Wednesday shows that there will be generally cloudy sky with very light rain/thunderstorm accompanied by lightening and gusty winds. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle between 36 and 20 degrees respectively. Although the maximum temperature is likely to rise over the next few days, the forecast shows that the sky will continue to be partly cloudy with strong surface winds.
