A day after the bodies of a man and a woman were found in a hotel room in west Delhi’s Rajouri Garden, the police on Sunday said the two allegedly committed suicide as their family members put pressure on them to end their illicit relationship.
Bodies of K. Suresh, 29, a native of Alappuzha in Kerala, and the woman were found from the hotel room on Saturday. The duo had checked into the hotel as husband and wife.
The woman was identified as the wife of one of Suresh’s cousins. The 27-year-old woman was a nurse at the RML Hospital here, the police said, adding that she stayed with her husband in Nawada.
Suresh had left Kerala on October 13 and arrived in Delhi on October 15, the police said.
It is suspected that the duo took the extreme step due to the humiliation.
