“To warn them that Asim Khan episode should not happen again,” Kejriwal tweeted.

“To warn them that Asim Khan episode should not happen again,” Kejriwal tweeted.

After being dropped from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) cabinet, former Delhi Minister Asim Ahmed Khan's name was omitted from the list of invitees for a comprehensive session on the “party's core, anti-graft values” to be presided over by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday.

To be convened at Mr. Kejriwal's residence in Civil Lines 6:30 pm onwards, all 67 MLAs, and their families, have been asked to attend the event. “Meeting all MLAs, with families, tomorrow evening. To remind them why we came in politics. To warn them that Asim Khan episode should not happen again,” Mr. Kejriwal tweeted.

AAP spokesperson Deepak Bajpai said the Chief Minister would use the event to reassert the party's original vision on the anti-graft plank among all stakeholders. “The families of the legislators have also been invited since they are significant stakeholders in the lives of the MLAs; the Chief Minister will address them and seek to remind everyone in attendance of the reasons for the party's evolution and the objective of delivering corruption-free governance,” Mr. Bajpai told The Hindu .

However, Mr. Khan has not been invited for the event fuelling speculation over his ouster from the party.

“As far as we are concerned, Mr. Khan is an accused in a criminal case and currently has no locus standi to be part of an event which has been organised to warn AAP members against corrupt practices,” said a senior party leader.
