Two juveniles have been nabbed for allegedly firing at a man near the Mundka metro station on Friday. One of their accomplices, however, fled the spot, the police said.

Act of revenge

According to the police, the duo opened fire at the man to take revenge for their cousin’s murder. Deputy Commissioner of Police (PCR) Monika Bhardwaj said a police team near the metro station had heard gunshots while patrolling the area. They saw three suspects fleeing on a motorcycle, said the DCP.

The juveniles told the police that one of their cousins was killed by the victim, Shekhar, in Kanjhawala last year. They said they fired at Shekhar while he was driving a Gramin Sewa vehicle, hitting him on the shoulder. A passerby, Naveen, was also hit in the foot.

Shekhar and Naveen are currently undergoing treatment.
