Bikram Aditya, another faculty member says the mobs entered home of faculty members. “We made many frantic calls to JNU security, police and administration but nobody answered our panic call. After I deleted the photo, one of them hit me on the head from behind. Had I not reacted or frozen up, I would've been beaten badly but when my cycle fell, they separated a little so I was able to run away. I returned to the spot where the faculty was waiting and told them that the mob was ready to attack at any moment,” Prof. Thorat said.
