India Post has announced a special discount of 6.5% on purchase of gold coins from 31 designated post offices in Delhi on August 1 in celebration of Raksha Bandhan scheduled for August 2. The discount will be on the day’s retail price.
“These gold coins bear the unique logo of India Post and are available in the denominations of 0.5, 1, 5, 8, 10, 20 and 50 gm for sale across counters at select post offices, says a press release.
The coins have a “purity rating of 24 karat 99.99% from Valcambi, under Swiss certification, and are available in tamper-proof packaging having benefits like internationally recognised certification, low risk of duplication, product standardisation and numbering with assayer certification.”
