H.P. Governor given warm farewell

Urmila Singh, who has completed her five-year term as Himachal Pradesh Governor, was given a warm send off at the Raj Bhawan on Monday evening.

Ms. Singh, who presided over the State-level Republic Day function in the morning, hosted the traditional “At Home” ceremony at Raj Bhawan and left for Chandigarh on way to Raipur from there.

An impressive guard of honour was accorded to the Governor before her departure while Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh congratulated Ms. Singh on successful completion of her tenure and wished her a happy and prosperous life ahead.

He said people of the State would always remember Ms. Singh for her impressive personality and kind nature.

The Governor thanked everyone for the cooperation extended during her tenure, and added that she was carrying pleasant memories of Himachal Pradesh. PTI
