Classes under the “happiness curriculum” are set to commence next week in all Delhi government schools, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday.

A three-day orientation programme for about 18,000 government school teachers came to a close on Thursday.

Also the Education Minister, Mr. Sisodia said that an orientation programme for principals, vice-principals and special teachers will soon be held.

“With this programme, I hope that all the tension and anxiety problems that are growing rapidly in our society find a solution,” he said.

The Delhi government’s happiness curriculum, launched by the Dalai Lama on July 2, will be covering about nine to 10 lakh students from nursery to Class VIII.
