Gurgaon Metro starts Security Awareness Week

Rapid Metro Rail Gurgaon Limited on Monday inaugurated the Security Awareness Week (January 13-19) with an objective to integrate safety and security in its work culture and lifestyle.

Gurgaon Police Commissioner Navdeep Singh Virk, who was the chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated the awareness week.

Speaking on the occasion, Sanjiv Rai, managing director and chief executive officer, IL&FS Rail Ltd, said: “As a responsible corporate, it is our duty to make our employees and commuters aware that safety at the metro system is of utmost importance. Our objective for this awareness week is to achieve greater participation from commuters and employees in various safety activities and provide our commuters secure and convenient transport system.”

Spreading awareness through posters in trains, asking security-related questions and distributing pamphlets to passengers with correct answers are some of the activities that will be conducted.
