A 12-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four juveniles in Adarsh Nagar here a couple of days ago.
According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday afternoon. The victim, who lives in the area along with her parents, was on her way back home from school when one of her neighbours, a juvenile, waylaid her and took her to an isolated place where three of his friends were already present.
The police said that before the victim could make an effort to leave, the accused had held her captive and took turns to rape her. They allegedly threatened her of dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident. The accused minors, aged between 13 and 16 years, have been apprehended.
