A 24-year-old gym instructor was allegedly robbed after he took a lift from five persons, including a woman, in Dwarka in the early hours of Friday. The woman later gave the victim ₹20 to go home, the police said.

The victim, identified as Kakrola resident Ashish Kumar, told the police that he took a lift to go to NSIT Sector 3 from Dwarka Mor around 12. 15 a.m.

“There were four men and a woman in the car. Instead of dropping me at NSIT, they took me near DDU college. They took my phone and wallet before pushing me out of the car,” the victim said in his complaint.

When questioned by the police, Kumar told them that the accused snatched his bag and the woman gave him ₹20 to go back home.

“From his statement, it appears that the woman is a member of the gang,” said a senior officer.

The police said they are trying to locate the vehicle and identify the accused.
