A talk titled ‘Acing IAS exams’, organised by The Hindu Events team along with Dhyeya IAS was held at Amity University on Thursday.

It was the second in a series of talks meant to provide a platform for students to understand from experts on preparing for and clearing the UPSC exam. The events are scheduled to be held at 10 colleges in Delhi, Lucknow and Allahabad.

Shweta Singh, faculty at Dhyeya IAS, said it was important to understand the reason behind opting this path as it requires a lot of effort and discipline.

Lal Das, IRS, Assistant Commissioner in C&GST, said “One does not require extra ordinary genius to ace this exam but consistency and a good base.” Kalpesh Kavad, IRS, Assistant Commissioner, Income Tax, said, “UPSC gives you an opportunity to aim at the social welfare of the society and transform the system single-handedly. Instead of blaming the system, stepping into the system is more important.”
