An elderly couple were allegedly robbed of gold jewellery and some cash by two young men on a motorcycle on Vikas Marg here on Thursday.
Fifty-five-year-old Pawan Sharma and his wife Alka (52), who stay in Vivek Vihar, were returning from a wedding in neighbouring Gurgaon around 11-30 p.m. when two young men on a motorcycle allegedly waylaid them on Vikas Marg.
The robbers, who were wearing helmets, allegedly took away gold jewellery worth several lakh and a bag containing Rs.35,000 in cash. The couple handed them over the cash and valuables without any resistance.
