The new EDMC commissioner, Dilraj Kaur, held a meeting with officials of the corporation to discuss means of revenue generation on Thursday. In a statement, the EDMC said that the plans of key departments, including property tax, remunerative projects, land and estate and advertisement, were discussed and initiatives taken to increase the corporation’s income were reviewed. At the meeting, senior EDMC officials also apprised the commissioner of the road blocks faced by the corporation in increasing its income. Ms. Kaur said that her prime objective was to increase the corporations income and make it self-reliant.
