The Delhi University Vice-Chancellor has agreed to various demands of the students’ union delegation during a meeting on Thursday, the ABVP said in a statement. The meeting came after a petition campaign and protests by the students’ union, in front of the Arts Faculty earlier this week.

ABVP’s Delhi state secretary Sidharth Yadav said that following a four-hour meeting, the officials had agreed to immediately implement four of the demands put forward by the students’ union, a move welcomed by the students.

“The V-C has assured to act as soon as possible on demands like timely declaration of re-evaluation and re-checking result, building new reading halls, installation of air conditioners, starting a centralised hostel admission process and formation of a committee that looks into the options of conducting supplementary examination” the statement read.

The V-C was unreachable for comment.
