October 16, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Delhi University has set-up a fact-finding panel against St. Stephen’s Professor and Delhi University Teacher’s Association president Nandita Narain in order to “examine” the complaints DU has received against her from three colleges.

The letter, sent to Ms. Narain on Tuesday asking her to appear before the committee on October 19, reads: “Attention of Ms. Narain is invited to the fact that the University is in receipt of complaints from various colleges against her conduct. In addition, she has made derogatory statements against various University/college authorities.”

Ms. Narain said: “This is nothing but an attack against teachers and their collective body [the DUTA] for taking up grievances of teachers in these colleges as well as for pointing out grave illegalities, administrative collapse and abuse of office during the tenure of the present Vice-Chancellor.”
