Arguments conclude in Delhi court in Bihar shelter home sexual assault case.

A Delhi court on Wednesday reserved order on framing of charges in the Muzaffarpur shelter home sexual assault case.

Additional sessions judge Saurabh Kulshreshtha at the Saket district courts reserved the order for March 18 after conclusion of arguments by the prosecution and counsel for the accused.

The Supreme Court had last month transferred the case to the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) court at the Saket courts and directed it to complete the trial within six months.

The CBI had sought transfer of the case out of Bihar arguing that the accused continued to be influential persons and might harass witnesses.

The investigating agency has chargesheeted 21 persons, including the main accused Brajesh Thakur, now lodged in Patiala jail in Punjab. He was operating an NGO to run the shelter home near his residence in Muzaffarpur, and was arrested on June 2 last year.
