CSE: Pollution levels dropped in Dwarka

The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) monitored pollution levels at the car-free stretch of Dwarka on Sunday. The data revealed a drop in particulate pollution during the event, compared to the heavy-traffic stretch between Dhaula Kuan and Patel Chowk.

The CSE said that PM2.5 levels on the car-free stretch were half that of the heavy-traffic stretch. “Being a Sunday with lower traffic, the average PM2.5 level dropped by 21 per cent. The car-free initiative also helped lower the pollution levels.”
