The criminals warned all of them people against following them and fled, the police said.

Dushyant was taken to a nearby hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment and is in the Intensive Care Unit, the police said.

The investigating officers said they are going through Dushyant’s criminal records to ascertain the indentity of the suspects involved in the incident.

The shoot-out is suspected to be the fallout of a gang war but other angles like personal enmity are also being probed.

The police have taken footage from the CCTV cameras installed around the gym to ascertain the identity of the accused. Dossiers of local criminals are also being scanned.

The victim’s family and friends have also been asked to join the investigation. He is married and has a child, the police added.
