On the eve of the ‘Vikas Rally’ that will be addressed by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, the Delhi unit of the party accused the Delhi Government of trying to disrupt the rally. The BJP accused the Government of ordering the Public Works Department to remove banners, hoardings and billboard mounted at various places in the city.
Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel said that Congress has been “rattled” by Mr. Modi’s rally. “Even the Delhi Police have been involved in it and some of our activists were arrested for putting up posters,” he said.
Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly V. K. Malhotra said that the agenda of the rally will be two-fold to expose the wrongdoings of the Sheila Dikshit Government over the last 15 years and highlight the solutions that the BJP will provide to the people of Delhi when it comes to power.
Former Delhi BJP chief Vijender Gupta, former Mayor Arti Mehra, senior BJP leader Vijay Jolly were also present at the press meet.
