Cong to intensify anti-sealing stir

The Delhi Congress announced on Tuesday that it was going to intensify its agitation against the “illegal sealing of the non-polluting household industries” and put pressure on the BJP government at the Centre and the AAP government in Delhi to work towards a solution as several people had lost their jobs.

Rallies to be held

Former Congress MLA Mukesh Sharma announced that as part of the Nyay Yudh programme that his party had launched, a “Lalkar Rally” will be held at the north-west parliamentary constituency of Bawana on September 30, and a “Hunkar Rally” will be held at Ghonda in the north-east parliamentary constituency on October 7.

‘Misleading people’

Mr. Sharma said that the BJP and the AAP have been misleading the people of Delhi on the issue of illegal sealing.

Taking a swipe at Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari, Mr. Sharma said that instead of breaking seals, he should put pressure to break the seal of the hot heads of the BJP leaders for their anti-poor and anti-people mindset to provide relief to lakhs of people.

“Over eight lakh people have been rendered unemployed due to illegal sealing. There has been a drastic fall in revenue collection. Due to illegal sealing and unemployment, the people most affected have been the Poorvanchalis who live in unauthorised colonies,” Mr. Sharma said.
