A 16-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by a college student and his two associates in a hotel in Noida, police said on Thursday.

According to Superintendent of Police (City) Shiv Hari Meena, the accused -- Naveen, Aman and Teetoo -- have been arrested and sent to jail.

When the girl, a student of Class X, was returning home from tuition on Wednesday evening she came across Naveen, a friend, whom she had first met at a wedding, the police said.

According to a complaint filed by the girl’s father, Naveen, a BCA student, lured her to accompany him to Noida. She was taken to a hotel where the three raped her.

The accused dropped the girl at Vijay Nagar and fled.

Traumatised, she reached home and told her family members the incident.

Police have lodged an FIR under Sections 376 (rape) and 363 (kidnapping) of the IPC. -- PTI
