A 62-year-old woman was killed and two others were injured when a car driven by a minor boy hit them in Outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri on Sunday evening. After hitting them, the car also went on to hit a cycle-rickshaw, a stall, and another car before coming to a halt.

According to the police, the minor was caught by the public and handed over to the police. The 17-year-old was found driving without a licence. However, medical reports did not detect the presence of alcohol in his body. The deceased has been identified as Meena Devi, a resident of Kishan Vihar in Sultanpuri. She was accompanied by her friend Murti (68).

“The boy had taken his father’s Santro car out on the streets ,” said a police officer. He lost control near Lakshmi Dairy and first hit a motorcycle .

“The boy panicked as a result of that accident and tried to escape. When he moved forward in the direction of the market, the two women Meena and Murti who were walking there, were hit by his car,” the officer added.
