A cab driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Kasna police station area. The police said they suspect that the criminals tampered with the crime scene to make it look like an accident.

Car crash

The deceased has been identified as Arvind (28), who hailed from Aurangabad in Bulandshahr district. He used to work for a private company based in Ghaziabad. The police recovered his body from Chai sector, which falls in Kasna police station area. The police said that the cab had crashed into a wall and the driver’s body was found outside the car. The police have recovered the body and sent it for post mortem.

‘Killed elsewhere’

A forensic experts team has also picked up samples from the spot. The police said they suspect that the driver was killed in some other place and his body was dumped in the area.

“Late on Wednesday evening, he dropped the company staff in Greater Noida but did not return to the company. On Thursday morning, some passerby noticed his body and informed the police,”a senior police official said. Acting on the information, a police team reached the scene and recovered the body. The deceased’s family and the company have already been informed. The police said the deceased’s family suspected foul play.

‘No personal enmity’

“We have lodged an FIR and formed a team to investigate. The crime spot suggests some foul play. We will examine the deceased’s call details and nearby CCTV footage to establish the case. The family has ruled out personal enmity,”said Avinsh Dixit, Kasna police station incharge.
