Gurkeerat Kaur, daughter of former Union Home Minister Buta Singh and sister of former MLA Arvinder Singh, joined the Congress on Wednesday in the presence of former Delhi Minister A.K.Walia. Ms. Kaur is an advocate.
Ramesh Pandit, the former municipal corporator from Krishna Nagar, also rejoined the party.
Mr. Pandit, who began his political career with the National Students’ Union of India and was associated with the Congress for nearly 38 years, left the party to contest as an Independent in the last municipal elections.
