A bomb threat delayed a Vistara flight in Ahmedabad by nearly three hours on Monday morning.

A call stating that there is a bomb onboard Vistara's UK 976 flight to Delhi was made from Goa to the airline's customer care.

The flight, scheduled to take off at 10:55 a.m., was rescheduled to 1:00 p.m. and later to 3 p.m.

The airline said in a tweet that the delay was due to "mandatory security checks".

The aircraft was taken to an isolation bay and security personnel pressed sniffer dogs into service.
