BJP MP in degree row?

June 13, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:34 am IST - NEW DELHI:

After Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, it’s South Delhi MP, Ramesh Bidhuri’s degree that has raised question. Mr. Bidhuri as per his 2013 Delhi Assembly election affidavit has stated that he graduated in 1988 from Delhi University. However, as per his 2014 Lok Sabha affidavit, he graduated in 1986. When The Hindu spoke with him, he said that he graduated from DU’s Bhagat Singh College in 1986 and the claims that AAP is making is just to divert the attention from them to BJP. “They are trying to malign my image and target me as their MLAs are in the degree row. The claims are baseless and this is a conspiracy against me.”

“Will the police now arrest the BJP MP? Mr Bidhuri’s affidavit has discrepancies and his degree needs to be checked,” said an AAP leader.
