July 05, 2019 01:51 am | Updated 01:52 am IST - NEW DELHI

A delegation led by BJP MP Vijay Goel met Delhi Police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik on Thursday demanding a thorough probe into the Hauz Qazi incident.

The Delhi BJP has also written a letter to L-G Anil Baijal seeking directions to the force to move court to seek permission to try juveniles allegedly involved in the incident as adults.

A temple was vandalised after a fight broke out on Sunday night over parking of a vehicle in Lal Kuan area.

The delegation submitted a memorandum to the police chief while asking him to probe AAP MLA Imran Hussain’s alleged role in the incident. On Wednesday, Mr. Goel had accused Mr. Hussain of being “involved” in the incident. However, Mr. Hussain had maintained that he was present at the spot after being called by the police.
