The BJP on Thursday staged a demonstration against the Aam Aadmi Party government alleging that it was hindering the construction of the Narela-Bawana flyover in north-west Delhi.

The party’s State unit argued that the BJP-led Centre had taken a “historic” step aimed at solving the problem of pollution and traffic jams in the Capital by constructing a flyover near the Bhorgarh Industrial Area but the Delhi government was “deliberately” obstructing work on the project due to political malice.”

The demonstration was led by Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari.

Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta and North West Delhi MP Hansraj Hans were also present.

“I want to ask Kejriwal what crime has been committed by the people of Delhi. Why has he become the enemy of the people. On the one hand, he is wasting crores of rupees on false advertisements to cover up his failures and on the other, he obstructs the implementation of every decision of Central government due to his political malice which are not justified,” Mr. Tiwari alleged.

“The Chief Minister of Delhi is not permitting the construction of flyover near the Bhorgarh industrial area. Since some trees are there near the flyover, the DDA is intending to shift it instead of felling them. But the Delhi government is not giving permission for this,” Mr. Tiwari alleged further.
