A day after Bihar Congress leaders condemned and protested against local Bhartiya Janata Party MP Ashwani Choubey for his controversial remarks against party president Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, the furious Congress leaders on Saturday filed a complaint and staged dharna outside the hotel where the MP was staying in his constituency, Buxar.

Taking serious offence against the remarks of Mr. Choubey, Congress leader from Darbhanga district Ramnarain Jha filed a complaint against him in the court of district Chief Judicial Magistrate G.K. Shrivastava.

Complaint filed

Earlier, while addressing a BJP workers' meeting at Rajauli in Nawada district late on Thursday, evening, the BJP MP had described Congress president Sonia Gandhi as the mythical demonic character “Putana” and called party vice-president Rahul Gandhi as a “parrot.”

The BJP MP said to be close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also compared alliance between Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad as “Ranga-Billa.”

In his complaint Mr. Jha said he was hurt after seeing insulting comments on Congress leaders in the print media and television channels.
