A week after 17 people were killed in a major fire that broke out in Bawana, another person has been arrested in connection with the case, the police said on Saturday.

A senior police officer investigating the case said that Lalit Goel was arrested on Friday as he is suspected to be running the factory with the accused who was arrested on January 20.

“Manoj Jain, who was running the factory, was arrested the same day the fire broke out. He had mentioned Lalit Goel as his friend but evidence gathered so far shows that he was also running the factory,” he said. The factory was allegedly being illegally run by the two who had taken it on rent.
