Bank manager kills self inside temple in Kalkaji

A 32-year-old bank manager allegedly killed himself with a gun shot inside a temple in Kalkaji on Sunday evening, the police said. CCTV footage showed him offering prayers at the temple before taking the extreme step. The victim, identified as Desraj Singh, was living with his wife Kulpreet Kaur and two children at Kalkaji Extension Pocket-C, and was working with a bank in Faridabad.

The police have recovered a suicide note in which he mentioned that he had a loan of Rs. 3 lakh. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the Shiv Temple at Kalkaji Pocket 14.

Desraj was rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared brought dead. A police team recovered a country-made pistol.

In the suicide note, Desraj also said that he was under depression due to frequent arguments between his wife and his mother. After questioning Desraj’s family, the police said that he was not in any financial trouble.
