Work at Gurugram Court here remained suspended on Monday in a show of solidarity with Additional District and Sessions Judge Krishan Kant and his family. Mr. Kant’s wife Renu Kant and son Dhruv were shot by their personal security officer over the weekend.

Renu (37) succumbed to the injuries a few hours following the attack, while teenager Dhruv continues to be on life support at Medanta Hospital.

Gurugram Bar Association President Ajay Chaudhry said the legal fraternity was united in condemning the “barbaric” and “brutal” attack on the mother and the son, adding that the courts across the State remained closed on Monday.

Mr. Chaudhry said that the investigation into the matter was being monitored by the area judge and the truth would come out soon after the four-day police remand of the accused ended.

Meanwhile, Renu was cremated in Hisar on Monday afternoon.
